Environmental Assessment and Robot Projects

Judging the need

  • Adding equipment without changing product or capacity usually does not trigger assessment.
  • New processes, higher capacity or changed emissions may require filing or assessment.
  • Fire, occupational health and energy rules may apply separately.

What to do

Confirm with the competent authority before ordering equipment. Retrospective approval is expensive and can delay commissioning by months, especially where the building or utilities change.

Information is provided for initial research. Verify specifications, pricing, policies and standards against the original source before making decisions.
