How corrections work
| Type | Handling |

| Typo or formatting | Corrected silently |
| Factual error | Corrected with a dated note at the end of the article |
| Material error affecting conclusions | Corrected with a prominent note and an explanation |
| Disputed claim | Reviewed and the outcome stated |
| Withdrawn article | Kept as a notice explaining why it was withdrawn |
How to raise a correction
- Send the article link and the specific passage.
- Say what is wrong and what the correct position is.
- Attach the evidence you have.
- We reply once the review is complete.
Corrections are applied to the published article. We do not quietly delete content that has been widely cited.
